Paul Spiers

Paul Spiers is a UK-based keynote speaker, conference moderator and AI leadership advisor whose work centres on helping organisations put people at the heart of AI-driven transformation. He's the founder and CEO of The New P&L® Institute and host of The New P&L – Principles & Leadership in Business podcast, through which he's interviewed a wide range of business leaders and social impact investors on principled, purpose-led leadership. Over the past two years he's moderated more than 50 executive roundtables and panels across the UK and Europe with CIOs, CTOs, CMOs and other senior leaders, giving him a close-up view of how organisations are actually grappling with AI adoption. His forthcoming book, THE SENSITIVE CYBORG™, due out in Autumn 2026, builds on this work and explores how people can collaborate with AI without losing the human qualities - creativity, curiosity, relationships and purpose - that make them effective. Paul speaks through Pomona Partners, and beyond this he also holds a visiting faculty lecturer role at an institute of graduate studies. His talks and workshops focus on leadership, culture change and what he calls the "Purpose Gap" - the disconnect many leaders develop from their core motivations over time. Originally from Aotearoa/New Zealand and now based in Greater Cheltenham/London, he brings an international perspective to his work, and his recent activity shows a steady cadence of keynotes, roundtables, and podcast episodes with senior figures across industries, all oriented around the same throughline: that as AI reshapes work, human skills become the more valuable currency, not the less relevant one.
