Saurabh Kumar is a global climate-tech investor, entrepreneur, and advisor with extensive experience investing in and scaling impact-driven startups across six continents. He has led end-to-end investments in more than 40 climate technology companies spanning sectors such as clean energy, carbon removal, circular economy, sustainable mobility, food systems, and ocean innovation. His career includes roles at Katapult VC, Bestseller Foundation, OceanHub Africa, and EIT Urban Mobility, alongside founding InsetCarbon, a company focused on carbon insetting through Enhanced Rock Weathering. With experience managing international investment teams and building AI-enabled venture sourcing tools, he combines deep technical understanding with commercial and strategic expertise to help startups raise capital and accelerate growth.
Academically, Saurabh graduated in the top 1% of his cohorts at both the Norwegian School of Economics and The University of Queensland, where he was recognised as a Dean's Scholar. Beyond investing, he mentors founders, advises venture capital funds, corporates, and public-sector innovation programmes, and is an active thought leader on climate finance, venture capital, and sustainability. His unique perspective-shaped by growing up in rural India and working across Europe, Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas-enables him to identify scalable climate solutions that address global challenges while creating commercially viable businesses.
